Birthday parties at Wellington Indoor Sports in Newtown – Fun Fun Fun!
Please note: Our Newtown facility will close for Sport’s activities at the end of October 2021.
Minimum 10 children per party
Price: $22 per child
$50 deposit required with confirmation of booking 14 days prior to party date.
All birthday parties include the following:
- 60 minutes of sports fun and games plus 45 minutes in your party area
- Your very own birthday host
- Modified versions of our in-house sports; If you wish, invent your own game to play on the court!
- Free sports gift for birthday child
- One amusement game token per child
Bring: Birthday cake, Water bottle (optional)
Upgrade your party to include Bumperama for an extra $5.00 or Junglerama, Bowlarama, Laser Warfare for an extra $6.50 per child, or with Jumperama for an extra $11 per child (including Jumperama jumping socks).

Answer: At the moment, all birthday parties are held at our Newtown venue but when the Hutt Indoor Sports opens in 2011 we’ll be having parties there too. Premises are licensed so parents and friends can socialise while their children are having fun!
What are the maximum or minimum numbers of children?
Answer: Parties need to have a minimum of 10 children. No maximum as we can cater for over 100!
What times are available?
Answer: Parties are arranged for a Saturday or Sunday so they are more enjoyable with all parents, family members and friends being available to attend. Contact us if you wish to discuss alternative days.
How many sports can the kids play?
Answer: We recommend choosing up to 3 sports to ensure the children get the most out of it. With 60mins playing time this would allow about 20mins for each sport.
Options include: T-ball, dodge ball, netball, soccer, sack races, ultimate Frisbee, or uni-hockey. We will work with you to come up with a solution to fit your children’s requirements.
How do the games work?
Answer: We usually split a group of 10 or so people into two groups, if we have over 20 kids we will split them over two courts. We provide all the equipment, set up, umpires and clean up for you. The birthday kid also gets an engraved trophy to take home.
Can parents play too?
Answer: Parents are welcome to get involved as long as they are aware this is a children’s birthday party and the focus is on the children having fun!
Is it safe?
Answer: We have first aid kits and trained first aiders onsite and make it a priority to keep games fun and competitive, yet safe.
